Tattered Lace Dies as relief on the box.

I did some experiment with die.
I cutted out the shape using Big Shot and then used it as a relief.
To add some years I used patina.

I really like it!

Glass jar - tutorial

Today I am going to show you how to decorate glass jar.

First - grab all tools and materials:
- flat brush
- scissors
- white acrylic paint
- acrylic varnish
- glue for decoupage
- paper with design
- ribbon, lace

Take off all labels, wash and dry the jar.

Paint jar using multisurface primer. One/two coats should be enough.
Then paint with acrylic white - two coats.
Make sure all coats are dry before you start recoating.

Next step - decoupage using soft paper for decoupage (available from decoupage.ie).

Choose design with white background.
Tore around. Soak in the water for about 1-2 min. Dry with paper kitchen towel.
Use glue on the back of design and on the object. Place design on the jar. Use glue over it, smooth with your finger or flat brush (always inside out).
Do the same with other sides.
When glue is dry use 3-4 lates of the acrylic varnish over the whole jar.

As a finish I added cotton lace and I painted bottom of the jar.

I will show this technique in details in Carrigaline, Co. Cork on 27th March.
